We went down to my grandpa's cabin over the 4th for my dad's family reunion. The kids wanted to help with my grandpa's project of building the garage door. We always have to much fun when we go to the cabin.

This is out of order, but the story is below. This is right after Porter fell in.

We went to this little reservoir in Koosharem. Lance and I took the kids on my grandpa's paddle boat. Porter said he was trying to "move the water so he could see the fish" when he leaned too far forward and fell in the water. He had a lifejacket on, but was face first and wasn't turning over so Lance jumped in and got him back in the paddleboat. We had to strip him down to his underwear so his clothes could dry (hence) he is wrapped up in a blanket in this picture. This my dad on the left my his dad (my grandpa) on the right.

Kadi eating dirt. I guess she was in need of some protein.

Conner caught his first 2 fish. My cousin Don cooked them on the bbq later. Brayden loved it. He kept going back for more and more.

My cousins Dana and Jolene and I decided to run in a local 5k race on the 4th of July. It was a lot of fun. I beat my best 5k time by 45 seconds. I finished the race in 27 min 11 sec.

Conner and his friend Ethan built this go cart all by themselves. The wheels need a little help, but the concept was great.

My kids learn the cheese smile real early.

I wanted to run in the city race that I 1st ran in last year as an anniversary race for my running. The added a kids K race this year and I signed all the boys up to run it. The boy above Conner is Lance's cousin's son, Noah. (Their family ran in it too.) We didn't get any pictures of Conner running the race, but the rest of the family is below.

I ran my 2nd half-marathon around Bear Lake on June 13th. With so many people running the race my dad has a hard time seeing me start the race. I called out to him and he caught me giving this huge smile.

Almost crossing the finish line. I beat the time from my 1st half-marathon by 6 minutes. Yea!

Lance was reading the newspaper and Kadi wanted to get up on his lap. She grabbed this newspaper and started reading it all by herself.

Lance has graduated. It didn't seem like the day would ever get here, but it did, on May 1st.

Lance and his whole department. They all got these construction hats and wore them instead of their graduation hats.
Posted by Picasa
It's really blurry sorry! The actual diploma-giving-handshake. YEA!!!!

This was such an exciting day. We can't believe it is here.

Our whole family. It is weird to think that Lance started school when Brayden was only 3 months old. Now look at us.

Brayden and a couple of his friends put together this "campsite" in our backyard. They did the whole thing by themselves. Isn't it cute?

Long time no blog!

videoKadi has always been a smiler. All you had to do was look at her. Now she's added in this adorable little cheeser.
videoHere is my rockstar with a very special piece called "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star".

We celebrated Porter's 3rd birthday and Kadi's first birthday on the 8th of March. Kadi's birthday was on the 8th and Porter's was just 1 week later on the 15th. Porter wanted the superman cake. It actually worked out again. YEA!

You want me to do what?
Posted by Picasa
Well Ok.
Posted by Picasa
I guess I'll have a little taste.
Posted by Picasa
I did a great job, didn't I?

See my cute face.

Porter loves the movie Cars. My sister-in-law made Porter this
Lightning MacQueen blanket for his birthday. He loved it. He's hugging it.

I have to tell about a sickness I have. It's called the uncontrollable giggles. When they come, they come with full force. Here's the story...I had my mom help me wrap some gifts for Porter and Kadi as I was finishing decorating the birthday cakes. I put Kadi's stuff in a pile and Porter's stuff in another pile, then went back to decorating. As we got to opening presents I started helping Kadi unwrap this "gift" and realized that it was one of the boys books that just happened to be under Kadi's pile of presents. My mom didn't know that it wasn't a gift and wrapped it so nicely for me. (Thanks MOM!) I just thought it was so funny that I couldn't help but laugh. I wasn't the only one, though. Stay tuned!
Posted by Picasa
The laughing begins. Lance had to get it on camera. Kadi doesn't seem to care that it's not new.
Posted by Picasa
Sorry it's blurry, but it's for the benefit of the story. I laugh so hard I cry.
Posted by Picasa
This is where I get it from.

My friend made this cute outfit with bow for Kadi's 1st birthday. It is so cute. We had to take a photo shoot.

I took the kids to the Draper, Utah Temple Open House a couple of weeks ago. I forgot to take pictures of the temple, duh, but I got some cute ones of my kids. This is when we were on the bus ride back to the church where we parked our truck.

On Dr. Suess's birthday, Conner's school told the kids they could dress up as any Dr. Suess character. Conner chose The Cat in the Hat. He was so excited to go to school in his costume.

Conner loves ribs. He always asks to go to Chili's or Famous Daves so he can get ribs. I decided I was going to make them at home one night. He dug right in and got all messy (like usual) and chowed down. Only after dinner did he tell me he still likes going out for ribs better.

We went up to Bear Lake for our annual President's Day weekend trip. I wasn't pregnant this year and there was plenty of snow so I was finally able to participate in the sledding. It was a blast. Here is a cute picture of Porter with my dad. Even though the snow was coming down on us we still had fun. By the end of the trip my dad, my mom and I had found the best way to go down. We each got on our own sled or tube and made a train and went down the hill. We got going so fast we slid right off the hill onto the road. Sorry Chuckee Cheese, but sledding is really where a kid can be a kid.

Our most recent family picture.

Lance had to go on a business trip and brought back these coon skin hats for the boys. They all slept in them that night. They love them.

I have recently gotten back in touch with some of my friends from California. One of them came into Utah for the holidays and the rest of us have all moved here to Utah. It was fun getting together for dinner. We were probably at the restaurant for a good 3 hours.

Conner made himself an art station. He put a hard piece of cardboard on top of a paper sack and added all of the accessories. You can see all of the conveniences in the following pictures. Too cute!

The side holders for all of his tools.

The inside compartment for his paper stash.

This is Conner's shark costume. He is getting more detailed as he goes. I love to see what he comes up with.

Conner made this costume for Brayden. If any of you are familiar with Kung Fu Panda, you'll recognize Master Shifu.

We got together with our friends and had a Thanksgiving dinner. It was a lot of fun.

Here is Conner's Santa costume that he made this year. He even has his bag of toys for all of the good girls and boys.
